These visionaries, all residing and working in the United Kingdom at the time, convened to explore a promising business opportunity emanating from Nigeria. A local engineering services firm had clinched a monumental contract for a comprehensive technical audit of a flagship FPSO operating in Nigerian waters, and they were in search of technical partners to bolster their capabilities.
Around that dinner table, the founders conceived a strategy to leverage their extensive network and secure the essential technical expertise required for the project. Through relentless determination and strategic prowess, they achieved a significant milestone by garnering the backing of a prestigious UK-based oil and gas engineering company, and skillfully navigating negotiations to secure a lucrative consultancy arrangement. his landmark project not only demonstrated their capacity to bridge the gap between highly specialized technical services and a burgeoning economy but also illuminated the vast opportunities that lay ahead.
In 2008, EU Consult was officially registered in Abuja, Nigeria, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey. The company was established with a core mission: to provide technical and consultancy services spanning various sectors of the Nigerian economy. Their initial strategy centered on harnessing specialized technical resources from the European Union countries where the original five founders resided and channeling foreign direct investment where it was most needed.
